Park Shrimp Ayrshire variant.

This is my Ayrshire variation of the highly succesful park shrimp.
The main variation is the use of red instead of orange in the tail and hackles, and the use of fox instead of runner, to bulk up the profile, for darker water
This fly is available like all my patterns on any size or colour of salar hook.
They can also be purchased in tube or conehead form.
To order this or any of my flies please e-mail me at ballingall512@sky.com

Ally's shrimp Tungsten micro cone

This is a great version of the world famous ally's shrimp.
I tie this version on plastic tubes and finnish it off with a tungsten conehead, which coupled with the ally's long tail allows for great movement in the water.
Fish it off a full floater or a float/ sink tip combo for best results.

Stewarton shrimp salmon fly

This is one of my own flies, that I designed with Ayrshire rivers in mind.
Red is the most productive colour for Ayrshire rivers, and the use of gold hooks adds to the attraction . It is tied on a high quality vmc gold low water double which gives the fly a great profile.

Polar Extreme pot bellied pig

I thought I would get the ball rolling with one of my favourite patterns, The Polar Extreme Pig.
My step by step tying instruction for the fly has appeared on a previous blog post, but for those of you without the time to tie your own here they are for sale.
The flies are available on any size or colour( black ,silver, gold) and on any tube type for different conditions and times of the season. The flies shown are the black/yellow and hot orange version which are great from spring right through to the end of the season.
These flies are available in any colour combination you would like. my favourites are.

Introduction

Hi Everyone.
My name is David Ballingall and I am a very keen salmon angler and fly tyer, based in Ayrshire.
Martin has very kindly allowed me to join his blog, so along with Martin and Paul I will be tying and posting Flies for sale on the blog.
I only use the best quality materials in all my flies and take time with my tying to ensure my flies are of the highest quality.
I will regularly update the blog with new flies, as well as popular old favourites.
If you have a pattern in mind that doesn't appear on the blog, just let us know and we will tie it up for you.
I use partidge salar hooks for all my flies, but I can use other hooks on request.
I would just like to take this chance to thank Martin and Paul for letting me join the Blog.
Thanks...
David.
