Sucess On The Eternal Optimist

Here my 13lb 4oz Springer from the Lees, taken on the Eternal Optimist

Eternal Optimist

The Eternal Optimist is another of these great flies to have in the spring. Black, Yellow & Green seems to be the Springers favourite colours and they happily grab flies with these colours. On my 1st day using the Eternal Optimist on 21st February and the Lees Beat of the River Tweed i took 2 springers on this fly. 13lb 4oz and 8lb. To order these flies click here

Black & Yellow Tube Fly

With the season now over and looking forward to spring, now comes the time for the Black & Yellow tube fly. This fly is the most deadly spring pattern and colour combo ever. This is the only fly i used for my spring fishing, i have 1 or 2 different styles of tying for it, but still the same deadly fly. A must for spring fishing on scottish rivers. These tubes are priced at £2 each and are available to order by clicking here

Allys Shrimp Salmon Fly

The Allys Shrimp has to be the most sucessful salmon fly of recent times. The popualarity of this fly was huge in the late 90's to recent times, This has been the only fly many fisherman will use all day and still take fish. The colours on the fly can be changed to Red, Yellow or Purple to create different colours combos to suit other conditions or when you fancy a change. I prefer these flies with a very long tail (3") To order theses flies or any other flies please click here
