Upper North Wark - River Tweed - Beat Report Week 6 Ending 12th March 2016
Week 6, Finally a settled looking forecast on the countryfile weather so hopes were high as the week started. On Monday Mr Neil Jones got our week off to a good start with a lovely springer landed on a Tay Salmon Fly Girnal Shrimp Conehead Salmon Fly from the Snipe. Neil followed up his success on Monday when he hooked into a springer in the Snipe again on the Girnal Shrimp but this one managed to escape. On Wednesday I had a wee cast myself and managed to get a springer from the Snipe on a 18gm Silver Toby. On Thursday Mr Colin Mathieson landed a nice fish right at the ends of the day fron the Snipe on a Black Templedog. No action at all on Friday. On Saturday Mr Lindsay Cripps fresh from his success in the Lees Beat the day before landed a long tailed sea licer from the Dub on a Black and Yellow Tube Fly, another brief encounter was had in the Snipe but it didn't stick. A better week with 4, bringing our season so far total to 6.
