Olivia Hairwing Copper Tube Salmon Flies - Tay Salmon Fly
We first tied this pattern in the early 2000's, to try and have a fly similar to the Pearly Pink Tomic which is fished with great success during the spring months on the River Tay. The lovely pearly body and UV flash make this pattern glow in the water and proves irresistible to the Spring Salmon. Over the years of fishing this pattern is has proven very successful in the spring, but in the last couple of seasons it has become successful in the autumn months. We originally called it the Pearly Pink Tube but after some success on the River Tweed with Ms Olivia Palmer we now call it the "Olivia" This is one of our "Olivia" variants. If you like this one please check out our others.
