Flashback to 2019 Opening Day when Mr Mike Graham landed the 1st Springer from the River Tweed on Upper North Wark from the Dub Pool with 2" on the Gauge. The successful fly was a Black and Yellow Special tube. Mike won the Tweed Trophy for this fish.

Looking forward to trying for the Trophy again in 2020

1st Spring Salmon From The River Tweed 2019 - Tay Salmon Fly

Opening Day on Upper North Wark beat on the River Tweed and what a day it turned out to be..... Greeted by grue in the morning we had a wee go then retreated to the fishing hut for the Glenfarlas 25yo and a cuppa. As the drips started to bounce of the hit roof a thaw was underway with the spring sunshine with that we took to the water. At 13:50 the moment happened Mr Mike Graham landed a stunning 7lb Springer from the Dub Pool with Richard Farr on the oars on a Black and Yellow inch n half copper tube. This turned out to be the 1st fish of the river this season, great start to the new season for us.
